My top 10 Hollywood Movies

 Let’s make a list of my top 10 Hollywood movies. Before I give you the list, Let me just tell you that there may be movies better then my list but I am rating the ones that I have watched. So guys if you feel that there is a movie which is missing then feel free to mention it. So here it goes.

1.The Shawshank Redemption

 Director: Frank Darabont
Stars: Tim Robbins, Morgan Freeman, Bob Gunton 
You know what, This is the movie which I had seen recently, and  was guilty of not having to watched it before. I could not believe that I have never watched it. This is one of the best movie I have ever watched. The movie inspires you, its gives you hope, its transforms you. Yes this is the kind of movie that will have impact on your life. This movie is about 2 different men in prison  who come together and redeem themselves in different acts they do in prision. This is the kind of movie that you must watch before you die!

                                               

2. Perfume: The Story of a Murderer

Director: Tom Tykwer
Stars: Ben Whishaw, Dustin Hoffman, Alan Rickman 
There are movies that are good, there are movies that are brilliant, there are movies that are extraordinary,  and then you have perfume. This movies does not fall in any genre, infact placing it in any genre would be an insult. This movie transforms you in to a complete different world, The world of Jean-Baptiste , who is gifted with an extra ordinary sense of smell, and who is insearch of creating the world’s best perfume. watch it and immerse yourself in Perfume.

                                                       

3.The Prestige

Director: Christopher Nolan
Stars:  Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson 
Christopher Nolan is the kind of director who loves playing with your mind. He loves making you confused in the beginning before you are deeply immersed in to his world. And then you start putting all the pieces in the right place. This movie is about the 2 magicians who in process of outsmarting each other ends up playing a deadly game.

                                                

4. American Gangster

Director: Ridley Scott
Stars: Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe,
Man this movie is crazy!! It’s the kind of movie that you should watch having a cup of warm tea in your hand. Completely inside the blanket when its freezing outside. And involve yourself in the world of  American gangster. This movie is about Frank Lucas,who  form the 1^st black mafia in Newyork  and sells drugs on the streets with the name blue magic. I am not going to reveal how he does that and what Russell crowe does to stop him. Watch it yourself and decide J

 

5. Memento

Director: Christopher Nolan
Stars: Guy Pearce, Carrie-Anne Moss, Joe Pantoliano 
Amir khan :P jee jee mujhey maloom hai kay Amir khan is not the hero of MemontoJ but imagine an amir khan movie that’s based on memento, “ Ghajni” but the only similarity in memento and ghajni is that the hero shares the same beemari of short term memory loss and looking after the killer of his wife. Other than that.. The entire execution is different than that hindi one. The best part of the movie is. You as a viewer are discovering the clues yourself so as the movie proceeds i.e move backwards you just go woof with the mind blogging events that unfold.

6.Ocean's Eleven

Director: Steven Soderbergh
Stars: George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts
Class, Class, and Class,, that’s what oceans 11 is for me, The way Brad pit dresses formally, they way he eats he sandwich. The way he and George Clooney form an eleven men gang to rob the biggest casino of Las vegas. From the very 1^st shot, to the last one, this movie is a class apart. The perfectly executed plan, that’s will leave you all woof at the end.

 

7. Cast Away

Director: Robert Zemeckis
Stars: Tom Hanks, Helen Hunt,
Cast away is a one man show. And that’s tom Hanks, much before we had the survival series , We had Cast away. Cast away is a story about an ordinary Fedex agent who is the only survivor left in an island, there were times in the movie when I had given up thinking he won’t survive however he does. And how? well you got to watch it to know it J

 

8.The Departed

Director: Martin Scorsese
Stars: Leonardo DiCaprio Matt Damon  Jack Nicholson Mark Wahlberg
I am sure you won’t be asking me why this movie? Come on read the Star cast again. What more can you ask for man.  If you have such star cast then you are bound to expect fireworks on screen and that’s exactly how it was. It’s a story of cat and mouse, where an undercover cop is infiltrated in a mafia clan who later discovers that there is RAT in their own police unit.

 

9.Se7en

Director: David Fincher
Stars: Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, Kevin Spacey
For all you ladies who are going gaga over Fawad khan..Once upon a time there was a lad named Brad pitt as well J . But this movie is not about his good looks. Rather it’s the story of 2 detectives, hunting down a serial killer who is using seven deadly sins as his modus operandi. Some of you might not like the ending and feel heavy hearted but again it’s a different genre of movie.

10. Catch Me If You Can 

Director: Steven Spielberg
Stars: Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks,
So if Catch me if you can is on number 10. Then I guess you can get excited to whats next in the list J and specially for the number 1 movie. Please don’t scroll below. Thora saber karein aur ek ek ker kein neechay jaein. Catch me if you can is a real life story of a Con Man who , much before he even turned 19 had conned millions of dollors worth of fraudulent checks , flew in plane as a co pilot, acted as doctor and what not. But chasing him is Tom hanks. An FBI officer is determined to catch him by hook or crook.
